So I have been drinking a lot of ICEEs lately at work and I am amazed at how smooth and tasty they are! :-) I want to know exactly how they are made and how they are made SO smooth! Somebody told me it's just pureed ice, but I had one at Aunti Annies, a knockoff ICEE, and THAT is pureed ice...what is an ICEE?

I've been cooking my fresh spinach in olive oil and/or butter.
I always get this mettalic taste that coats my teeth after eating the spinach.
What causes this?
Are those tannins?
How can I eliminate that flavor?

I recently tried a cheese bagel with jalepenos on the top. I was a little scared at first, but now I can't get enough of them. This got me thinking, what other food combinations are out there that seem really gross but actually are really good?

Another one I love is the green hot sauce with microwaved butter popcorn. It is delicious!!

When I was a child my grandmother would buy cans of peppermint candy that would literally melt in your mouth upon contact. I cannot recall the name of the company, but the candy was delicious and I'd love to relive my childhood. They came in the shape of balls and the can container MAY have had hot air balloons on it. If you don't know the name of that particular candy can anyone recommend something similar? I am not looking for Red Bird Brand Peppermint Puffs...the candy I am looking for melts even quicker than the puffs made by Red Bird.

Thanks...I'm feeling a little nostalgic :)
