Beer, Wine & Spirits - November 2006

I have a presentation coming up with 4 other people in my group, and half of them are taking a couple of shots before out presentation/skit which is 30 minutes long. Iam really really nervous about this and considering doing the same. Has anyone ever done this and if so what kind did u take. Im just going to take one, I dont want to be that buzzed while doing it.

In your opinion, what is the best way to make a Martini?

I hear that shaken not stirred gets you water with gin and bruises the gin, and I know there are a lot of ways to make Martini's so...

Basically I've watched too much M*A*S*H and now want to try a Martini, but I want it to be a good one.

Suggestions?

I was walking down the street yesterday and a dirty old bum asked me for 5 bucks he said he was hungry. I watched as this dirty stinking bum went into the liqour store and bought 3 bottles of thunderbird wine. my question is should i go back there and beat the daylights out of him or should i wait until i see him drinking and pour his cheap wine all over him???

We really fancy making our own sloe gin but don't particularly trust ourselves to recognise sloes "in the wild".

Very limited drinking experience,
like maybe last time was 1 cup beer.
but had

5-6 shots, of from very strong tequila to vodka to rum to whiskey (2 shots whiskey)
and then like huge glass bottle of beer
jello mixed with an insane amount of vodka
etc etc

is this way too much?

There are some wine refrigerators where the motor is very noisy that's why I'm looking for the silent type.
Also, if it has more than one temperature zone that would be helpful.

I sold beer without checking ID. Police they caught me. Because she looked old enough. But she was 17 and one of the undercover person. So i have to go Court on January. Tell me what's gonna happen? Cause before 2-3 years ago i got caught and charged by shoplifting. So this is not gonna be my first offence. Any experience?
