How come when one someone admits to another person they love them, the person they admitted it to DOESN'T. Yet that person, the one THEY love, doesn't love them back?

Here is the situation. I am 21 years old. I already have two degrees. I am financially stable, etc. I am ready to get married, BUT I have a wound left by a previous relationship that almost lead to marriage. This wound greatly effects the relationship I am in now, even though it has been 3 years since. I have known this girl for over a year now, and for so long it was going great. Then I got scared, because of my wound. I asked for time away to think and told her I did not want to continue the relationship. About four months went by and now I think I made a huge mistake. I told her how I felt in early Septmeber, and I think she loves me, and she wants to spend her life with me. However, NO ONE agrees. Not our friends or families. Our mutual friends remind me of how much I hurt her, (I know I did) but when I ask for advice, about maybe marrying her, they act as if I just met her in Septmeber. They say I should not talk about marriage. I need to say something, right?

Love is full of rejections. But I didn't go it would go far.. He has a girlfriend and everyone throws mean comments at me. I don't care if I get slapped. I DO deserve it. I deserve going to hell too. how many of you give advice to someone to leave their man and then stay with your own? i dont condone it but id never say im gonna leave him because he cheated, i think it depends on with who, is it a constant thing, one time thing, and from my experiences men are gonna cheat regardless so if you are gonna leave a man for cheating why not leave men alone period? im not saying if he fuhks around on you with ya best friend stay but if he was to get his ying yang sucked at the strip club ( not all stippers do it but u know sum will ) i wouldnt be as hurt he may have to re earn that trust, but its not that personal to me. The other weekend I was out on the town and ran into a group of my female friends that I usually run into when I'm out. I sat down and was talking to one and she was already pretty intoxicated. Well, she came out and told me that she and her brother (also one of my friends) were talking about me earlier that day. I was like oh really what about? She said that they were talking about the people that she has slept with, and the brother mentioned my name because we seemed to get along so well. She responded no, that was just the way I am (easy going). Then she giggled and said that she was suprised that we havent' or the brother was or something along those lines. I kind of took it as just drunken conversation at the moment, but now that I look back at it I was wondering if there is supposed to be some hidden truth in this story or something?

I have a close friend who is single as am I. We are not dating but we do things alone that couples do like going to dinner and movies alone. I know my ex is very unhappy. He dumped me and is pursuing a girl. We both know its wrong on many levels (ages of the two, different interests etc)

He is meant to be here with me, but he chose her. I can see he is losing a lot of weight and sleep. It is taking a toll on him and it has been a week since we split. Do I say something? We started talking again... He jokes around with me like old times and we are really close. Part of me thinks he wants me back but doesnt know how to go about it. Should I mention something?

To be brutally honest... He had a 'mustang' and he traded in for a 'beat up mini van...' this girl seriously... she doesnt even compare.

I helped him through so much stuff in our time together and he gave it all for some flavour of the month he just met.

So, should I proceed with caution, and act like nothing happened? Or show that I am upset and talk to him about it?
