my girlfriend is a very wonderful person. she is very nice and always puts a smile on a face. she's beautiful, smart, and fun, but i just need to move on. Our relationship is heading south. Should i just be honest with her or tell her what she wants to hear so i don't hurt her feelings? will we still be friends after the breakup?

The background info basically is that she is a family/childhood friend who I grew up with. It's funny cause I was around six when she was like four and she would always take me by the hand and want to play or hug me etc. I pretty much lost touch with her, until I ran into her a couple times at parties over the summer, and it was nice we talked etc etc. Needless to say we aren't kids anymore I'm 20 she's 18. Problem is one I don't have her number or know anybody that has hers. the only thing i have is her myspace, and i'm not gonna ask a girl out like that cause it seems idiotic. And the other problem is that I go away to school in like a week and probably won't be back until december so there's not gonna be much oppurtunity to do anything. So I'm basically approaching it from the sense that I gotta get her number, talk to her try to build on it and all, and pretty much just wait it out and see what happens. any advice on how to go about the whole thing would be appreciated. thanks

i broke up wit this gurl right nd i feel like i made tha biggest mistake of ma life nd then she started goin out wit this other guy nd then i started talkin to her again nd then she told me she still loves me nd i still love her too but she started to love the guy thats shes wit right not too but hes so far away she doesnt know who to pik me or him nd she said she dont think her nd tha other guy will even last that long but he has done so much for her nd now she doesnt want to brake up wit him cuz she loves him nd feels bad for him but she say she see's me nd her havin a future together not him nd her should i wait for her?

A lot of my female friends talk about losing interest in a guys because they're boring to be around, and don't do anything interesting for the relationship.
Well, I lose interest in most of my girlfriends after only a short period of dating. I get tired of having to always keep her interested when she rarely does the same for me. Do other men go through this?

So, should women try as hard as men to keep our interests?

I dated him for like a week but broke up with him because I dunno it felt wierd at the time but then a few months ago I got feelings for him again and we ended up kinda "dating" like we would go places together (movies and such) and make out...then he got a gf but now broke up with her so now I really can't get him out of my head I don't want a relationship! Hey! Okay I'm a quiet but friendly girl at first (20 years old), but once I know someone I warm up to them and I am always laughing and smiling. Some of my guy co-workers (I work at a sports bar) who joke around with me a lot and talk to me a lot still say I am shy, because I don't talk ALL the time, and have a quiet tone of voice. They also always joke around and call me innocent because I don't party all the time, but they are nice about it. It bothers me, because I associate being called shy as "reserved", "bitchy", "snobby" and so on...which I know someone can be shy and not be that, because I can be shy, but I don't want other people thinking that of me. When they joke around and say I'm shy and quiet does this mean it bothers them or what?? I just don't want people to think I'm mean if I don't talk all the time. So...what does this mean?? A couple of weeks ago this guy that I have kind of liked gave me the stare down. But I had to go that day, so I could not really flirt back. So the next time we were together I was prepared for him to come to me and talk to me. I wait and wait and he just looks but does not stare. I guess I am wrong for being the type of girl who want the guy to say something first. Now I am like, let me show this guy that I am interested, cause he might not think I like him. So a few days ago I gave him the looks and he had some pretty great moments to say something but he says nothing....nada. Should I just leave this guy alone or what?
