"how" - or "is" it possible to hate the person you love....???

My best friend and I have been friends for 13 yrs, I'm 25, she's 26. We have always been like sisters, but for the last few yrs our friendship has been different. I don't feel that I can trust her. If I say it's somebody's birthday, she'll say oh yeah, I forgot and then try to outdo me with presents or try to call that person first. If we go shopping and I don't have any money, but I say that something is cute, she will buy it. She will also lie on me to get info from other people or she will try to make me look bad, but she does it in a way that doesn't seem like it. Anytime I am doing bad, she is right in my corner, but if I am doing good, she will separate herself from me. I used to tell her a lot of my business because she gives good advice, but I found out that she was telling others my business. She will give me money and she even gave me her old car when she got a new one, but it's like it's nothing to her, what I want is to be able to trust her. What do you think?

I am happilly married and have been for 7 years. 9 years ago I was briefly engaged (after a year's releationship) to a girl who broke it off leaving me devastated.

Recently coincidence got me back in touch with the ex and we got talking, forgave each other, and are now good friends. She is also friends with other friends of my wife and I in that city so this was not a problem until she asked as to visit her for a weekend. My wife said fine so I accepted but:

I spent all of last night rowing with my wife - who has changed her mind over it. She apparently doesn't trust her not to try it on with me. I've told her there is no possibility of this, and that I could get her to tell her the same, but to no avail.

Now, obviously, I would have nothing come between me and my wife, but I also cannot hurt a friend of mine who is currently at quite a low ebb having just escaped an abusive marriage by telling her a woman she's never met before doesn't like her.

Any good advice wanted.

I am from a developing country. 3 children, not for my husband wanted, but I am against of abortion. I love my kids. I work, having 3 jobs, and keep living of my family. Financially independant I bear beatings, raws from husband. When I married, I loved him. 15 years passed and till now I knew I must bear everything . I worked like a machine, having no feeling. something unexpected happaned. I fell in love but have no close relationship. I want nothing but quite life with my children. I do realize it is impossible to realize my love, but by and by see being with husband unnecessary. I used to mock at the women being in love married, and now I deserve that. what shoul I do?
