Well i strongly believe that repressing your emotions will eventually explode, the way you might outburst suddenly at something small. Mentally I think it'll make you more frustraited and stressful because you have so much in your mind and you know how stress affects your body. You need some kind of catharsis whether its your boyfriend, a friend, a family member or someone you know that will be welcome to listen. and if you cant find anyone, well then i'm here! stranger as I may be, i always found it easier when i wasyounger to open up to someone online because there was no judgement and i knew they didnt know anyone i knew. You just have to know who to open up to. its definetly a good idea to open up. My chemistry teacher always told me, when boys have things in their minds they drive fast and punch walls. Girls are much smarter. when they have something on their minds they eat dark chocolate and express their emotions

You do need some outlet for how you feel. That could be your boyfriend, other people around you, a journal (online or offline), or a psychologist. I knew of one person who saw a psychiatrist regularly just so he could unload all of his anger, sadness, and fear without burdening his friends with it. You also need to address the source of negative feelings (anger, sadness, fear), whether it's fixing the problem or getting out of the situation. The most unhealthy situation is when you're stuck in a situation you don't resolve, and you hold in your feelings about it. That causes stress, and stress allow a host of ailments to appear.

It's good that you have a boyfriend to talk to. You should only tell your business to people that you know that you can trust and you can also try writing in a journal or praying. For extreme emotions it can be unhealthy to keep your emotions to yourself, but you might want to find another trusted person just in case you have feelings about your boyfriend that you don't feel comfortable with sharing with him. Blessings!
