hello
I'm a guy who recently immigrated from south Korea to U.S.
maybe because of the cultural difference or something, I feel
discomfort when people look straight into my eyes.

Why do you guys make an eye-contact?

What do you guys think, when people don't make an eye contact
while having conversation with you?

and lastly, how do I get comfortable making an eye-contact?
Do I just stare at them like forever??? and should I put smile too?

I'm 17 years old and Friends here are really kind to me.
I don't want them to turn back on me... don't wanna lose them :)

I made a big mistake i wont go into it but i really hurt someone with this mistake and now i have lost them but i want them back i cant stand living without them i have tried to apoligive but she just stonewalls me i have tried everyhting i want them back in my life but i dont know how i should go about it

Ok I always love joking around with friends but...sometimes I seem too immature and they get tired of it! like the other day in the hallway at school I went up to one of the guy teachers and said "hey do you want to make $2? then lick the wall!" gosh I don't know why I always act so slow! so how can I joke around with people but not sound stupid?

i've seen and heard that many women would have sex with a man at a bar/clubs/ etc. the night they met, i'm not opposed to that idea of fun. What i am curious about is why would some women let strangers touch their bodies and have sex with them by their moods and feels at the moment, wheras say, would never consider having sex with guys that are clearly attracted to them, say recent dates, guy friends, .... etc. so i guess my question is do women feel better about having sex with a guy she barely knew, "the excitement, mysterious type" than the guys that she frequent with? if they can be slut for new guys, why can't they be sluts for the others too?

One of my co-workers at the Chicago Sun Times was walking by and I asked him to run to Jamba Juice for a mango smoothie with extra protein because I was trying to shape up. I told him that I had no cash on me and was all worked up because Around the Horn was getting set to air. He said no problem. He went and got my drink. Then I bitched and moaned that it was not extra-large (He could only afford a regular size) and I refused to pay him back.
I will never pay him back!

last year, my friend went to the same school as me but then she moved. we got in a fight right before she left. i hadnt seen her for a whole year and then yesterday she showed up at my door, telling me that people at my school were telling her that i started a rumor that she left the school cuz she was pregnant. shes not pregnant, and i didnt start that rumor. then i told her that one of the girls that told her i started that rumor said that she started a rumor i was lesbian. im not lesbian, she said she didnt do it. i believe her, and she believes i didnt start the rumor about her. and were friends again. but theres a group at my school (that started those rumors) and i guess they hate me now. but one of them has gotten in fights before. what do i do?

the ppl i hang out with sometimes drink all the time especially when we are all together. they always copy the way that i talk and laugh about it (mainly the words that i use not my speech). they also make fun of of another friend (behind his back) because he doesn't want to spend money all the time on alcohol. They also make fun of him because they think he's gay which he is not. It's very hard to relate to them because they are always drunk out of their minds and i'm finding myself less and less intersted in them. what's a good way to break up with these people? I'm so infurate because I spoke to one of the friends about something and we had cleared it up then he brings it up in front of a group of people the following week. Thanks for all and any of advice. Please tell your stories if any?

Someone I love, all of a sudden decided to get into weed, coke, ice and other drugs. On top of that he's joined a gang. I don't know what to do. I am so devastated. Should I call the cops? I have a friend who does it all the time. I have 2 cats and a dog as well as 2 children, and I love my pets, but it annoys me to no end when she says "my cats are my children", even treating them as little furry humans. They're not humans they're animals and I'm offended that anyone could compare an animal's life to a human's.

I have a friend. Her and I went out last year and were together for 5 months. After we broke up, we were still friends. She went out with a bunch of different people and none of them worked out. She is now with one that shes been going out with for 4 months. The problem is, anytime I see her, she always ignores me.
