last year, my friend went to the same school as me but then she moved. we got in a fight right before she left. i hadnt seen her for a whole year and then yesterday she showed up at my door, telling me that people at my school were telling her that i started a rumor that she left the school cuz she was pregnant. shes not pregnant, and i didnt start that rumor. then i told her that one of the girls that told her i started that rumor said that she started a rumor i was lesbian. im not lesbian, she said she didnt do it. i believe her, and she believes i didnt start the rumor about her. and were friends again. but theres a group at my school (that started those rumors) and i guess they hate me now. but one of them has gotten in fights before. what do i do?

ok...i dont care what they think. i dont care if they spread a rumor that i have a baby. i know its not true. but i do care if someone gets hurt. not "emotionally" but physically cuz thats where its heading.

You ignore those immature "friends" of yours and maintain friendships with people who are kind and respectful to you. That's what you do.

being popular is overrated. Ignore the rumors ignore the girls and move on. this is so pointless its not even funny. You must be popular if you don't know how to respond to a bad rumor about you. Now you know how all the unpopular ppl you've put down in the past feel.

I'd say just walk away from it and be glad your friend showed up at your door. That shows that she is a friend and that she cared enough to come to you about it.
Hold your head up and walk by all the BS. and if there are those who put you down...then I have one saying for you.
This is a quote from abraham lincoln....."the best way I know of to defeat an enemy is to make him your friend"
Take that and run with it...keep your friends close...keep your enemy's closer.
If you go through life worrying about what other's think then you will never go anywhere....be you and be true

first of all dont confront them about it - this may cause them to want to fight you.
try to stay away from them as much as possible, with groups of others if you can
why not try taking up an activity during lunch hour so you wont see them?
If things get worse then tell the teachers, tell your parents. They will understand and they will fix it but you have to let them help you first.

If i were you, i would tell your guidance counselor or a teacher what had happened, just so they know that there are any repercussions from this group, that they are aware of it. Try to stay clear of these kids and don't let stupid rumors bother you to much. They must have issues of their own. Yor friends who know you, know the truth, that's all that matters.

NOTHING!!! Be the bigger person...it will only annoy them (if you don't react) and they will try to get to you, don't bother reacting, you'll only please them. By you reacting to their rumors, shows that your accepting their false rumors and admitting their truth to it. So just ignore it. Besides...they're the ones that care so much about you that they HAVE to talk about you, don't bother wasting your time. They're not worth it. They will only waste your energy, that you could use for something better, like reconciling with your new friend again. HAve fun with your friend, and good luck. Remember...just ignore it.

As difficult as it may seem ,Ignore it . There are always rumors and time will tell the truth. I'm sorry things are so difficult for you and your friend. I'm glad you forgive each other.

Be friendly and kind to everyone. You may have to be more social than usual for a while, to counteract the meanies in your school.
Treat them with pity and act like they are retarded or 'confused' instead of being hostile if it comes to a showdown. It takes less energy, and it makes you look better.

i might grab a extensive jar of peanut butter, grease a manatee with it, and throw it at you. as quickly as you're in part greatly surprised from the projectile sea mammal i'm going to unharness my swarm of marmosets donning jackets onto your face. At this factor you will in all probability fall off the tree. in case you probably did no longer. properly i might decrease down the dep. and slide you off.

either you can confront or just let it go or do both. people will see those girls for who they are. there's always a group of them that start nasty rumors due to being jealous of others. please do not let them get to you i know that's very hard to do. I wish you luck
