My best friend is getting married in 6 weeks. I had fully intended to attend because she's my best friend and I love her, and also she made me the maid of honor. However, lots of things have come up and I am finacially unable to go because she's 600 miles away. How can I explain to her I cannot attend becaue of this?

Alright, a couple of days ago I logged onto myspace and I look down at my top 8, and notice my best friend has posted a picture of herself IN A BRA. We are both in high school, and i found that extremely inappropriate. when I try to talk about it with her, she tells me that it's the same as being in a swim suit, and that it's her choice. I really just don't want pedophiles to be trying to get ahold of her....I just want her to be safe. What should I do?

I got new to this school on january, i came from Miami, im in a Latin country, im latin too by the way, but im white and i dyed my hair blond, all the girls when they saw me they looked at me weird, i didnt know spanish very well, so they made fun of me, i got a friend but 3 months ago i found out shes talking **** about me with all the girls they said that i was stealing their boys, that im a *****, and all that, all the girls were against me, but i have being going to school for the pass 3 day and they are cool, about the other 3 girls is that im concern, i dont know how they are going to be this year and if the other girls are going to follow them. im thinking about changing to a bilingual school, i had depression during summer because of that. i felt like **** and i cried a lot this is my senior year, should i face them or should i leave?

I am having some problems with my friend. They make it seem like everything is a contest. I would say "ouch" and my friends asks, "What happened?" then I would tell them and then they would say "Oh that's nothing." There was a another time when we were getting our textbooks for school and I told them that they were lucky that they only had four text books(because I had five) and then they said,"Yeah, but mine are way thicker then yours are." I'm not mad I am just getting annoyed and I don't know what to do. Talking to them is usually my last choice because I try to find ways to keep me from getting annoyed but it's not helping. Please help!

Is it true sometimes white people in the workplace perceive minorities intellectually inferior to them?
I am an asian female i have had white women condescend ( talk down to me like a child or a 2nd class citizen) to me as if they were superior. I feel like slapping the s*it out of them but then i would be fired! Can any minorites relate to this? has it ever happened to you? white men are cool but white women can be such snobs (know it all.) even when they are wrong. Why are a lot of white women like this? why do they think minority women asian, black or hispanic women are inferior? I know intelligent women of all backgrounds...
