Is it true sometimes white people in the workplace perceive minorities intellectually inferior to them?
I am an asian female i have had white women condescend ( talk down to me like a child or a 2nd class citizen) to me as if they were superior. I feel like slapping the s*it out of them but then i would be fired! Can any minorites relate to this? has it ever happened to you? white men are cool but white women can be such snobs (know it all.) even when they are wrong. Why are a lot of white women like this? why do they think minority women asian, black or hispanic women are inferior? I know intelligent women of all backgrounds...

Not all white women are like that. It seems to be who you work with. They are just bitchs. Stay away from them as much as you can. They are no better than you, remember that.

Hi I'm mixed Black/Latino and fortunately I've never experienced such foolishness from white women. However, I have come across some condescending personalities in my life time. And I just ignored the pompous b******. Remember like you are; you are there to do a job, and they do not sign your pay check!! In addition, I find that once you mimic a person(s) actions they stop and by all means don't let them/her see that she's getting to u! Please continue to smile and be a pleasure to be around! Keep your head up and be strong!!!

In my work place they just gave me dirty looks and tried to ignore me. Any chance they had, they trashed me. I ignored them and stayed nice and kind. It turned out they were jealous that the white guys liked me. I'm Black. It could be a race thing, but sometimes it's a girl thing. The older women were always very pleasant towards me. Maybe they feel threatened by you. Not just looks, on many levels such as intelligence.

Not at all. My experience is actually that the steriotypical Asian minority is very smart, though I have not worked much with black or Hispanic people, I'm afraid. Of course, I am a white, female know it all, but I don't discriminate. I'm rude to everyone equally. lol

some white women act like that because they feel like you may be better than them and they don't want that because they feel like us black, asian, or hispanic are just as good as them and they treat us and talk to us like that because they see that you are confident in what you do and how unsure they are the low self esteem they have and they do stuff like that to make you feel like a nobody.

Just for the record, I am white and would never even think to talk down to someone because of ethnicity. So please don't lump us all together because of the two bad people you met.
