Friends - August 2006

I've known someone as a really casual friend for about 5 years but I have the same strength feelings for her that I have for really close friends (feel really protective and caring about her and like her loads). I'm a married guy and whilst she is attractive I dont want anything in terms of a relationship with her, just to be able to level with her and tell her how much I value her friendship and am there for her, but I really dont know if she sees me as anything more than a casual 'mate'. I'm really confused by my feelings or what to do....any view or help appreciated! Thanks...

i don't know anyone in my first four periods at school. and the people i do know, i don't like. i have always been the quiet one until 7th grade. now its 8th grade and i'm quiet again because i don't know anyone!! it seems like everyone already knows someone and has a best friend except for me. how can i make new friends that i can hang out with. or at least to talk to or something. i don't want to be alone for half the day!!!

My girlfriend has a friend that she is fairly close to, in terms of their friendship, but also in proximity to where we live. This girl not only copies everything that I do, my clothes, hair, etc, she is an annoying third wheel. She calls to get together all the time, and has no boundaries. I get the feeling she wants me out of the picture so that she and my girlfriend can have a long happy life together. I have tried to be honest with this girl, stating that we want along time, or I am taking her out for a special dinner, and then guess who shows up or calls. It's almost disrespectful. How can I get rid of this person from our lives, without having to tell my girlfriend that I hate her friend? It's become now a constant source of annoyance for me. She has never been in a relationship, and I don't feel jealous per say, its more that this person can't understand that she is the ultimate definition of a third wheel. She is intruding on my life and my relationship.

A couple of weeks ago me, my mom, my sister, and my friend all went to the high school to get my schedule changed and when we were called to the office we sat down and there was a really popular boy in there...he was a skater and alot of people knew him. And when my name was called I got up and went into the room by myself and left my mom, my friend, my sister, and the boy sitting alone in the office. When I came out my mom had her shoes off and my little sister who is 2 was wearing them and my mom was standing barefoot and the boy was laughing. Don't you think that that was embarassing. Don't you think that he was laughing because he probably thought I was a loser. He was also really mean to me in middle school so I wouldn't be surprised. But he did seem alot different from then.

I have beeen living in Uk nearly 2 years now and i have been in school i just found few black freinds becouse i am also black.
So the friends i had in school they all moved to other country so now i am here without freinds when i whent to college i couldt find any freinds no one want to talk to me i dont know why and the freinds i had in school who move to other country they havend send me letter or something i havend hear from them for ages i also dont have they're address nothing i dont know what to do. What can I get her that she'll like? Around me.. like we have been friends since third grade but now when I am around her she acts strange, not mean or ignoring me, but like she smirks at me weird, and when we were at a pool party and I was in my bikini, she was staring at me and when I asked what's wrong she got all nervous and twitchy and just said 'nothing' and then walked away. She has been acting so odd, I'd like to find out, she is not like that towards anyone else. And on one sleepover I woke up in the middle of the night to see her leaning over at me, when I asked her what she wanted she just ignored me and went back to sleep. What do you think is wrong with her, it's very annoying.
