I met this guy october of last year. we coversate on a good level. In the beginning he talked about sex and I told him no. After 4 mths I said yes and then he asked for oral sex and I said no, so we are now back at the waiting game again. We have been talking to each other for now about 10 mths and no sex has taken place. Now when we talk we rarely talk about sex anymore. He seems to have put up this big guard and macho man attitude. He left on deployment and did not respond to my emails until 3 mths later and my first phone call was this month. It seems very weird to me , because we sometimes get quiet on the phone where nothing is being said and I feel so uncomfortable, because it's quiet and I would think that he would say he okay I am getting off the phone now, but he does'nt so I have to think of something to say. What is up w/this guy.

am a chatty friendly person but feel a bit left out in the team. I don't mix with my collegues at lunch and end up spending by myself at my desk. I feel a bit awkward about this.
It's not as if I'm going to be in this job forever and don't expect to come out being best friends with anyone but any advice on feeling less isolated?

In essence I don't mind this as I like giving advice to all my friends. but she just does not listen. Her boyfriend is nice but they are just not compatible she is a complete pushover, doing all the housework and he doesn't lift a finger. He can be disrespectful but she never questions him on it. I give her advice (i.e. talk to him, discuss your problems) but she ignores me. Every6 months or so she's phone me crying her eyes out saying she's unhappy and that she's scared to be alone I tell her it's better to be alone then in a **** relationship and that she WILL find someone better but she says she would rather have second best then nothing. I'm at my wits end. I want to support her but if she won't listen what can I do!!! there is more background but would be here for years explaining it!!!

my mum always told me that the quality of friends is better than the quanity. i have always belived that was true. i have a gift of giving true advice to my friends and i like giving advice just as long as it helps people, sometimes it doesn't work sometimes it does. should i stick to my day job or carry on helping friends in need.

She's apologized and promised not to do it again but I don't trust her. I'm not strong enough to just wait and see if it happens again! Where do I go from here? Is it only time that will heal and time that will help regain the trust?
