Friends - June 2006

Me and my best friend have just recently, and maybe still, gone through some rough times. Well I said some stuff about her to this guy who's supposed to be like a big brother to me a month or more ago. Then me and my friend were hired to work at this coffee shop where her aunt is the asstitant manager; me and her aunt aren't too close either and if we talked it's been small talk. Well, my so called "brother" went and told my best friends aunt about my problem with my best friend, and some other things I had said about her aunt, like she was annoyinig. So her aunt has twisted some of the things that I said into other things, and me and my best friend had a "screaming compition" on the phone earlier today and made up, but her aunt is still mad at me. Should I trust my "big brother" again? What should I say to my best friends aunt?

When I was younger I used to wonder why people live together and do not marry first.

There is a vast majority of people who are on fixed incomes that dont marry but are companions. Either they are on SSI, Welfare,and if they married theier benefits would decrease
and if the elderly married thier companion after thier spouse died they would lose thier benenfits of the prior marriage 401K, life insurance, social security and retirment money.

Either they live together or go on trips together or both, I asked a family member about this and she said if the couple goes to church and join hands and say thier vows quitely before God and if they are faithful and true God would honor a spiritual marraige even though it may not be written on legal paper by the state.

Does the commitment differ in your 20s than it is when you are older or elderly?

These people need love and encouragement as well. I think people judge a lot harder than God does.

My friend Caitlin is seriously obsessing over getting a nickname. all she thinks about is how gay her real name is. I have a friend. and her name is caitlin. she seriously wants a nickname. Personally, I think that her name is fine right now, but nothing I say will convince her. wut do you think. She is slightly obsessed with finding a nickname and I don't want to seem unsuportave. Just yesterday, she was telling me that if I didn't call her libby, she wouldn't answer me. what do you do when your friends father is hitting on you through the net? do you tell your friend or not. i don't know what to do. i'm kinda at a lose here. do i tell him that i am his daughters friend? he has said things that i'm pretty sure that he would never want her to find out. if i tell i run the risk of breaking up a family. i don't think i can handle the pressure of knowing that i am the reason that a family is torn.

Friend has a 54 year old sister with developmental disabilities. Parents are experiencing health problems (they are 85 and 87) and sister needs a place to live where she can have group home care. This individual is classified as MMR and has an IQ of 69. She works assembly through Monmouth County Vocational. Too long of a waiting list for public group homes - need info on privately owned group homes.

Sitting across from me is this girl who makes my eyes pop out of my head, she has a killer body, I mean if I describe my type of woman she fits the bill 100%, I love just talking to her about stuff. When she reciently broke with her boyfriend (4 months ago) she cried on my shoulder. I want to say something to her but I value our friendship, our current relationship is also as classmates (MBA program). It is for these last two reasons I really do not want anything to change between us.

Ive been seeing a woman from work on and off for 8 months now...she's married to a horrible man who's alcoholic and beats her on numerous occasions...i only see her when she kicks him out...
She then takes him back after a week or two because he uses theyre youngest daughter as a weapon against her...but then it all happens again.
it kills me to see her with cuts and bruises..she tells me she only takes him back because of the daughter and that she doesnt love him..

Mine was when i walked in2 a glass screen and knocked my self out at heathrow airport, it was so bad because everyone who was there saw and just laughed.
