Ways to move up on the waiting list is to let them know that her parents are too ill to take care of her. Try the board of Disabilites of your county and neighboring counties. I use to work in group homes for about 5 years and I have seen it done many times before.

Call your states Department Of Mental Health (DMH). They should be able to give you a comprehensive listing of private group homes in your state. Give it a try-I guarantee you won't be sorry!
