Well, i dunno who r "back up buddies"..sum1 mentioned it to me..n is now refusing to divulge da meaning..its in context of people, who dun think abt marriage..

If I understand your question correctly, a backup in the context of marriage means friends who agree to marry each other if they are both single at some given age.

I think it is when 2 ppl decide that if they dont find the right person in lets just say 5 years, they would start a relationship. But ppl who do this are mostly friends.
