Does anyone know which show used the joke on Franklin Delano Roosevelt's name first, by changing the last name? Was it Arrested Development (Franklin Delano Bluth) or Red vs. Blue (Franklin Delano Donut)? Both shows were contemporary so i'm having a hard time figuring out which one used it first. Or has it been used on a show even before those?

I think it aired on ABC. If my failing memory serves me well, each family wore matching tracksuits in either blue or red. The show was held in a tent or some sort of sporting arena. I've scoured the net and can't find a hint of it.

It's the one where they use the Law and Order intro, but with the Family Guy characters. Do you know which one this is, and which season it's from? Thanks in advance for your answers.

I don't have any cable at my house and I'm proud of it. I have the internet and it gives me enough media and entertainment. I also have blockbuster total access as well. How come about 10 years ago I was watching tv more and now I'm watching tv less. How come the shows that replace the old shoes ain't as good anymore. I can't stand watching half the shows on but I do enjoy reruns of the old shows. Why has the quality of tv shows have gone down so much.

This may be a little hard to explain, but here goes. Sometimes when I watch a show something funny happens, but it isn't funny until something is revealed to the home viewer, but for some reason the studio audience doesn't laugh until the revelation is made either. Why is that?

For example, (this is just a general example, not anything from a specific show) let's say a guy is talking to someone who is at his side, but off screen and so can't be seen by people watching at home. What the person is saying to this unseen individual might not be funny, until the next shot reveals to the home viewer that he's talking to a chimpanzee wearing a funny hat, and then the studio audience bursts into laughter.

Why is it that the studio audience doesn't laugh until the chimp is shown to the at home viewer? Can't they see him the whole time, or is he somehow hidden from view and then revealed to the studio audience as well?

let me tell you something if you used to like the simpsons but now say there not as good and dont watch it anymore THAN YOU WERE NEVER A TRUE FAN!! if all you did was complain about the movie instead of talking about its good parts YOU WERE NEVER A TRUE FAN!! sure you can disagree with me and say im wrong but in the eys of me and all the other true fans who still love the old and new simpsons and went at midnight or sometime during the first day to see the movie you were never a true fan. im not saying you have to love every episode becuase i too like and dont like episodes. who cares if there new or old you still should watch it and i still think its a funny very funny show. so to all the people who have stopped watching because the show is at its 19th season YOU WERE NOR EVER WILL BE A TRUE FAN!!! to all my peeps who still watch the show GOOD JOB!!!

Doh! to you all
True Simpsons fan since season 1.

I am looking for a character who is almost the same age as Maura Tierney (News Radio). She played in a different sitcom but the same years as News Radio. She was a light brunette, light in complexion and always talked softly, appeared shy. Can anyone remember the sitcom or her name?
