he's saying "laugh & cry." i have all the DVDs as home up to the last season and i often listen to it with the subtitles on...at first i thought the same thing you did...but stewie is indeed saying "laugh and cry"...

I always thought it was "'effin cry." But then I saw an episode where they sang the theme song during the show, and I think Peter sang that part, and he clearly said "laugh n cry." So the real lyric is definitely "laugh," but Stewie is so scandalous, I could easily see his version being "effin."
