have you ever been near a shooting?

I was last night. Working at the hospital, there was shooting in the parking lot. 2 injured, one critical. Quite scary. 2nd time in my life this has happened.

Opinions please. At work, we have always taken up a collection among the employees to purchase a Christmas

gift for our boss. This year one employee made the statement, "When they give me a raise, I'll give you some money, but no raise - no money". Another employee said, "No, I don't have the money" then went out and purchased and expensive gift for the boss on his own. A major brown-nosing tactic in my opinion. How do you handle people like this. Do we include their names on the card anyway, or leave them off? There are several of us, so if the names are left off, it will probably never be noticed anyway. Advice?

How do you play off an embarrassing fall?

If you've ever tripped unexpectedly, run into a wall, or slipped on some ice, you know how mortifying it can be, especially if it happens in front of a group of people. So, is there anything you can say afterwards to recover your cool? Or something you do to play it off casually? "Ow, that hurt!" just sounds so cheesy

What did you do for the whole of today or yesterday?

i went to a ghost tour at night and it was really fun like hell!

Today-
I went to gym & used the com,
(Damn boring & it's killing me!!!)

what are the chances of this?

i mailed out a Christmas present to a friend who lives out of state. i went to USPS online and i got the postage rate. i know i put enough stamps on it and a return address. and i know i wrote the right address for my friend. it went out last Saturday. and he says he hasn't got it yet. what are the chances of mail being stolen before reaching its final destination? what are the chances of the mail lady dropping it or losing it in the truck? could the holidays be slowing it down? i've never sent something this time of year like this. i sent something to the same place in November and he got it.
