When one feels they have to build themselves up constantly regarding what they want others to think about themselves....whether it is their sexual ability, their intelligence, or anything else. Doesn't the fact that they have to tell others constantly about what they want to be known about themselves, instead of letting others see it for themselves, tell you that they must not really believe it themselves, so they try to talk others into believing it? You can't tell someone how you are....that pretty much says, "this is how I want you to see me, but have to tell you, because you won't see it on your own." If they are secure enough about how or who they are, why do they have to repeat it over and over?
