I get some answers I don't always appreciate, some people take freedom of speech to far to border on rudeness, also there is a cyber mentally where people write things they wouldn't usually say in person. I did some reading on cyber space mentality, also, you don't get to meet the people you are talking with. Could be someones obnoxious kid or just some "old" person like me looking for a little entertainment after work. The good part is, every now and then you get a really great answer or two. You also need to think about the questions you post and where you post them. Under Polls and surveys, you will find a lot of no brainer questions and fast responses. I dont know how you define points for gaming, I vote on unresolved answers or give thumbs up and yahoo allows that, isn't that playing for points, oops, I just let out my secret. I guess I am in trouble.

I don't report them if they insult my question. It's just part of living in a world where people have different opinions, and some of us are more intelligent than others. However, I won't say that some answers to my questions haven't annoyed me. That's definitely happened. As for the schmucks that say "2 points!" I feel sorry for them. The only people I would report are people that use pornographic references or completely slander other races or religions. That just pisses me off.

No I never have. I was tempted when I asked a serious question about organ donation and said I planned on being an organ donor dut to the fact that I had a member of my family alive today due to an organ donor. All of my answers were sincere except for 1 jerk who told me to shut the **** up. I was tempted to report him/her but I didn't. I figure I just have to take the bad with the good on here and I refuse to let a few jerks spoil the enjoyment I get from this site.

I don't ask that many questions and when I do I expect a few silly answers. I think you have to keep in mind that not everyone comes to yahoo answers for the same reasons. There are silly questions ans silly answers, it's just the way it is. It's supposed to be fun here, and it can be a very useful way to get information on specific subjects. I've never reported anyone for anything on yahoo answers because I don't see the point of it. Everyone is entitled to their point of view, and seriously, what is the use of points anyway?

No, sadly I learned not to ask anymore questions. I've also learned not to answer them as well. Yahoo Answers is a work in progress for most people so I try not to let it get to me.I've only reported one person for a URL with a virus attachment. Than I changed my answer to a warning. By the way do we get points for a thumbs up? ......oh.

You seem awfully up-tight. There may be people who see a legitimate problem with your question that you might be too involved with to notice on your own. No those are not the two-pointers who just dismiss it and decide to benefit from someone else's poor question as a "service charge" for having to read it.

No, I only report the really offensive, and it takes more than stupidity and immaturity to offend me that much.

I have reported people for little things, but usually only the big things that annoy me like if they are really mean, or like if they ask a question that is nonsense or something like that. I also must say I have said 'thanks for the 2 points' before, but i regret it.

As annoying as it may be, you have to deal with immature and childish people everywhere, every day. This is Yahoo Answers, not a politically correct scholar's debate. There are dumb people all around you, and you have to learn to deal with them, whether you like it or not. Report me for this if you'd like, but... SUCK. IT. UP.
