Character map? That's too complicated. It makes my brains sore.

On my Mac there's a default that Option-0 gives a degree symbol: º . For a PC, try Alt-0, or other similar key combinations, one may work. If not, you can set up keyboard shortcuts in MS Word for any symbols it has, including Greek letters and "Wingdings".

I haven't figured it out yet either. It's so inconvenient to actually have to type out the word "degrees" instead of having that little dot!

It's in your character map. Start > all programs > accessories > system tools > character map. Look in arial black.
