Other - Music - July 2007

I'm interested in making all kinds of beats for different types of genres, and want lots of sound options, a library that can be expanded, the ability to sample and to create original music, and I'm not really eager to mess with Fruity Loops cause it seems limited, but that could stem from my lack of experience with music equipment. Basically I wanna know if it's best to go the CPU & software route, or the more traditional keyboard and hardware route. Then, I'd like to know how much dough it would take to have a decent set up for either route. I'd like to be able to have something that could help me generate cash at least locally if I get cold enough. So, I guess that's pretty much it, and thanks in advance to all you wonderful folks for answering, and helping me out.

I have been racking my brain and scouring google but I can't find it. It's a music video and it's shot from the point of view of a person walking around the streets late at night. It's starts off in an apartment and they are walking around, doing drugs, causing fights, groping women and they get in a fight, all kinds of masculine stuff and in the end it turns out that the person is a woman. I can't think of the name of the song and it's killing me!

I believe these guys have a sound all thier own, they cover so many different levels.... Does anybody even listen to these cats like I do.... El manana is easily one of the best songs ever recorded in my opinion.... what you think?

What's the song playing in that commercial? I think I've heard it before, but I dont remember who sings it and what's the name of it. A few lines are...'A little gift from up above'...a female singer is singing it. Could someone please tell me the name of the song and the artist? It would really help. Thanks.

i was helping my g-ma clean out her attic and i found my dad's original vinyl album of The Beatles Abbey Road from 1969. Can you believe it?!?! my g-ma was about to through it away!!!! this is so freggin cool...but the down side---i don't have a record player.....

but still this is pretty freggin awesome!! right?

This applies to any style of music, any point in history and what they have to offer mechanicaly or lyricly.
What they offer to they're band as writers artists, entertainers.
Who you think has had the best career in different bands? Who has not 'sold out' or who has made the mainstream with dignity. Who you can dance to... etc...

Do you get the idea? Who is your most favourite artist ever? With all these things and more in mind.
