or maybe it's "pretty little love song"?

2007-12-13 05:39:40 · 2 answers · asked by me 4 in Country

I'm not sure who sings it, I know it is by a man, it's about a girl who was killed, I believe she was hit by a car but dont quote me on that, this song was in memory of her. The singer was famous and knew her and her family. please help.

Mine was probably Danzig. I remember being blown away by the sheer power of his voice and the simplicity of the riff in Mother. I was hooked, to me the shock factor of hearing the lyrics (I was raised [brainwashed] Christian) was astounding, yet intriguing. After that a friend hooked me up with some Metallica, and an obsession was born!

What's your story?

Hi! I play viola.
I put my strong emotions into my music, but it often doesn't show.
My teacher and my parents say that I hold back a little...

We're also looking into getting my sound post adjusting to voice my sound more, because that should help a lot. If it doesn't, I may try a new instrument.

What do YOU do to put more emotion into your music, or to show the emotions in your music more when you're playing?

Thanks,
Chloe :)

I think the artist's name was Reberta Flack.
The song "first time ever I saw your face...." this is the chorus, is it also the song title? If not what is the actual song title and where can I search for the lyrics?

we were reading a book and the chapters seems to be named after songs from the 80's b/c most of the chapters we know but there are a few which i think are songs but really am not sure
the list is as follows
1. she drives me crazy
2. 9 to 5
3. life in the fast lane
which for a book that has 20 chapters i think were doing pretty well to know that many song names on sight ( and we can sing them )

also who sings sweet dreams are made of these?

Let's leave out stuff by the big bands like The Beatles, Stones or The Who, etc. The classic rockers are in a separate class here.

I'm talking acts that put out a few singles or one-hits of the era.

Maybe you heard your parents singing or playing them around the house (like me), or you saw a movie & liked the music...no matter.

What I like about that whole period is the innocence. So many genuinely sweet & naive (in the good way) songs that still strike a chord today somehow. Back when holding hands was worth writing a hit over. Though the world wasn't *perfect* back then, many of the songs still sounded so ...happy :)

Remember now- nothing into the 70s or later...

Some O' mine. Wonder if any of these are on Youtube:

"5 O' Clock World"- The Vogues
"Green Onions"- Booker T & The MGs
"Runaway"- Del Shannon (one of the 1st pop songs to use an early synthesizer. Great little tune!)

"The Rain, The Park, * Other Things"- The Cowsills
-a bunch of Monkees songs

con't...

Long ,long ago I was taken to a performance in Yorkshire that had a brass band and choir. It was brilliant. I'd love to have a recording of something similar.

I love this man. I love his voice and his music. What are your thoughts on him? What are your favorite songs sang by Mr. Neville?

The Grand Tour is my all time favorite song of his. However, I love his voice, so there isn't a song of his I do not like.
