For me, I think it would have to be Gabriel Faure's Requiem....I fell in love with it the first time I sang it many years ago. It seems that I might be performing it again next spring with my choir....I am looking forward to that!

Two quick ones... Iron Maiden replacing Bruce Dickinson with Blaze Bailey (yikes) and Van Halen replacing Hagar with Gary Cherone (even more yikes).

I think the best example is Journey, and they've done it twice. Tabbing Steve Perry to take over for Greg Rollie was a brilliant move as it launched the band into the mainstream. The eventual Perry replacement, Steve Augeri, is a solid vocalist, and Jeff Scott Soto to replace Augeri was even better. Now, I have no idea who they'll get to replace Soto, but so far, their track record isn't too bad.

A few other good moves:
Motley Crue replacing Vince Neil with John Corabi
Iron Maiden replacing Paul Diano with Bruce Dickinson
Anthrax replacing Joey Belladonna with Jon Bush

Happy Tuesday! :)

And that's completely original in the sense that you don't feel that they were (heavily) influenced by any act that came before them...that their sound was the first of its kind.

Just curious...

The song is either titled "Can you feel it?" or "Can U feel it?" or "Can you feel it in the air?". It was a hit in the clubs back around 1996. I don't know who sang it, but it was an awesome song to dance to.

they play a lot of rare stuff, live concerts, interviews, albums, etc.
What artist should they have next? (My next pick would be The Beatles).
Who could you listen to for 6 months 24/7 and not get bored after a week or so?
