I think so. The Stones influence on the Rock Music of these past 30 Years has to rival the Beatles.
Personally I like the fact that they took the same style of music to a harder, tougher edge than The Beatles did.
But it is Your Opinion I want.

Prefferably "serious" songs like "O come all ye faithful" or "Silent night" as opposed to "Jingle bells" etc.

Billy Joel's Piano Man

John Cougar's Jack and Diane
(I refuse to call him Mellencamp)

Was listening to this song by "Guns 'n' Roses and couldn't make out meaning in part of the lyrics where it talks about cat's in the cradle and a silver spoon. I read somewhere that: "Cat's in the cradle......." is a game played (often by children) in England. No details about the game were written in the material I laid hands on. Could anyone explain how the game is played and maybe tie down the explanation to the lyrics of the song so as to make sense?

I've been in the University Chorus club for one year and have learnt some basic music theory. Now I want to start learning violin which I've been dreaming to learn for a long time. Is it too late to start at 19? It's not important to be in the level that I can show in public. I just want to play well.

Apparently a decision has been made about who is going to play Kurt Cobain in yet another movie, and glancing over this article reminded me that when these actors are chosen someone, somewhere will have an issue with it.

So if you were in charge of casting for a movie about your favorite artists, who would you pick to portray them? And if a film has already been done about them, do you agree with the choice that was made?

While there are a plethora of possibilities, what is teh worst actual name of a rock/pop group and why?

I'll start with Bow Wow Wow - I expect Snoopy, Clifford, and Odie to strut on stage. Only one hit, and they launched Boy George! They are dogs!

I'm on the fence... Scott Stapp's is nice, as he looks like he's about to cry, but Yanni's is also great, because it's freaking Yanni!

Ok, technicly classical is starting in 1700s, but I am refering to classical in the popular general sense of western music from 800 AD to the present using an ochestra and or traditional ensemble or with traditionaly trained voice. My favorite is JS Bach, who is baroque. I also like a lot of 19th /early 20th century composers from england and france, such as Vaughn Williams, Berlioz, Debussey, SanSiens, Elgar, etc.

My nice big (200w) amp is broke and my friend has a little (80w) one, should i just use that? I'm assuming there is a PA at this venue, though one should never be surprised....

How does wattage effect volume? What should I look for?
