I would like to start a rock band with friends. I've been playing the guitar for about 2 years now. Is it enough ? I've heard some rumours about some guitarists starting their bands with no experience. Is that true ?

and it subsequently changed how you viewed/felt about the song?

My example is The Cure's "Close To Me." I always thought it was about a love affair and the fear of becoming too close to someone. A few years ago I saw Robert Smith in an interview in which he talked about the lyrics of the song. I was shocked to hear the song was about writer's block. :) I still love the song but it changed the endearing feel I once had for it. I almost wish that I did not know it was about writer's block.

I have my iTunes on right now, and Interpol's "Evil" is playing. I read somewhere once that the use of the name "Rosemary" in the song is a referance to the movie "Rosemary's Baby" (yikes!). Who knows whether or not that's true, but I always think about that when I hear it.
