1. Radiohead (just ridiculously good live, seriously, it's just amazing)
2. Built To Spill (something about their guitar tones and just the fullness of the sound is incredibly impactful)
3. Frank Black (I haven't seen him since right after Dog in the Sand and I kind of lost interest in his new records since then, but as of the last time I saw him that man just rocks. It's funny he's a sweaty mess by the third song, but still manages to just rock out for 2+ hours. Great live show. (the Pixies were actually kind of a let down suprisingly, it was the reunion though so it probably wasn't the same)

Honorable mention to:
The Breeders
the Shins
and Pavement

I haven't seen the Boss yet, but I really need to. Same thing with Dave Matthews.

Yeah, Dave Matthews is certainly on the list. I've heard nothing but amazing things about the people and the vibe and the translation of the songs to live.
I've only seen Radiohead at a festival (Coachella), but they blew my mind. It is the best live display I've ever seen by a longshot. I can't really describe why, but I've never seen anyone come close (and that was only with 40 minutes or so to work with). The downside was that I had passed on seeing them twice before at the Hollywood and Santa Barbara Bowls because I happened to be short on cash at the time. I ended up learning, a little too late, that there is no such thing as short on cash when it comes to seeing Radiohead. There is only a mad scramble to find the money you need. I was so mad at myself for not going.

Prof: Good call on Radiohead. They are awesome live. Both times I saw them was in an outdoor venue, in August, and it had to have still been 90+ degrees with 95% humidity at night. And they still gave it everything they had! And go see DMB live - it's a great atmosphere, and they're awesome live!

1) Guns N' Roses - - so long as Axl is there, the rest of the lineup doesn't matter to me (I've seen them all!!)

Then there's been so many other great shows I've been to: Billy Idol, Alice Cooper, Judas Priest, The Eagles, KISS, AC/DC. I went with a friend to see George Jones and he was good! Not my style of music, but fun.

I'm seeing Bruce for the first time tonight - I'm sure that'll go right up towards the front of my list!
