Am I the only one who thinks that classical music is far more beautiful and entertaining than today's music? Nowadays anyone can just go and write a song, but before all this technology came along only people with real talent could write music. I think that people are really be gipped today because of the lack of being exposed to such wonderful music. Music of today is only written for money and commercialism. I think if the general population really learned and heard the music of composer's like Beethoven and Mozart, the music industry would be out of business. Why would anyone want to listen to Maroon 5 and Britney Spears whine when you can hear a gorgeous symphony by Mozart?

By the way i'm a 20 year old girl, not some old "fogey" or something. Most people think classical music is only meant for old people and that it isnt "cool"

The 2 biggest selling types of music in the States is Rap & Country. (Both garbage in my eyes and most of the world's) Even most of their bands are crap I can count on one hand how many bands are up there wih the likes of Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, The Beatles, The Clash, The Rolling Stones, The Smiths, David Bowie and the list goes on...Why dont America produce any decent bands like they used to like The Doors, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Velvet Underground or The Pixies? Instead we're made to listen to My Chemical Romance and Panic At The Disco.....opinions please?

Just as the heading states, I am stumped on what song I want to use for a slideshow I am making about food. I was thinking of using Wesley Willis' "Rock and Roll McDonald's", but I wonder if you can think of any better options. The food in the slideshow is not a specific kind, and the song does not have to be specific either, so just come up with whatever possible song option you can suggest. Thanks in advance!

I found Wildfire on Youtube. I looked up his biography and that seems to be his most popular song. I really love it. Recently I have heard a somewhat easygoing song with whistling but I don't recall who did the song or if I saw it on a music video or what. I've heard it twice but can not find it anywhere on the internet or Rhapsody. It's driving me crazy. I seem to recall there being some sort of animation with the song when I saw it on TV. I think its from the 70s or 60s. I saw it on one of those time life specials but couldn't catch the name in time because those things scroll fast. The song sounded so pretty!!!! I want it! i'm looking for songs that have young singers and punk rock similar to the red jumpsuit apparatus, fall out boy, and papa roach. The rock shouldn't be too mettalic but not too light. also the chorus of the song should be catchy and should make you sing along with it. i dont know why but i kinda like songs with repetitive words and hard rock in the chorus.
