I love jazz and soul songs and I was wondering who was the first person who has thought of that ? Do you think rappers got inspired from that kind of music although rap is monotonous, it does tell a story and old jazz singers certainly could tell a story with a lot of feelings?

My boyfriend and I are going crazy!!! We can't figure out the name of a band. They performed on the MTV VMA's one year. It was brother sister band. The brother plays a guitar (my bf says he has long black straggly hair) and the sister plays the drums. Please help if you can we are going nuts trying to figure this out.

I'm going to see them on the 20th, and I truly have never been more psyched for a show in my life, The thing is, I keep hearing differing opinions of Roger's vocal state, the energy of the band etc. Some say they're still as amazing as "Live at Leeds" and some say they're long past their heyday.

It dosen't affect my musical opinion of them either way, as they are one of, if not THE, greatest rock band ever, but I was just wondering, people who've seen them recently, how were they live? People who have seen them EVER, what's it like?
