When i strum a "G" Chord for example, on the fifth string it would make an unpleasant sound, a metallic sound. Is it b/c the fret board has been worn out? My guitar is a decent guitar and that "cling cling" noise sounds horrible, what can i do?

If you've been to a rave, you probably know what I'm talking about. These visuals go with techno music, usually, and are more than anything you can find on iTunes' or Windows Media Player's visuals. They're usually a mix of light shows with random interjections of "trippy" animation or real-life video, along with spurts of random text. Do I have to go to a rave to see these? Or can I download them or buy them from some vendor? Tried many searches, with very little luck. Also couldn't find anything on eBay. Any help with this would be greatly appreciated!
