Music is a wonderful thing and is said to be the universal language in which we all can understand! We connect with music because it makes us feel, which can generate various kinds of emotions. Certain frequencies or collection of frequencies resonate better with humans then others - which I believe has a relationship with our heartbeat.

Extremely fast drum beats or extremely random rhythms can be annoying, while other rhythms and instruments make us feel deep emotions. Drums are interesting, because a listener tries to predict what is going to happen next - and a really good drummer will use an off beat to keep the listener on their toes, which keeps everyone moving!

This is one of the reasons we have defined certain genres, and there is a level of attitude behind each genre.

Music has a high level of control/power over us, but when we can choose which music we want to hear - we have all the power!

Music doesn't lie. If there is something to be changed in this world, then it can only happen through music. - Jimi Hendrix
