Even though I'm a long way from high school, I still get that same response from some folks about the kind of music I listen to just like it was in school. You gonna run into idiots like that all your life. I was an outcast in school and my taste in music only fueled that sentiment. The next time they rag on ya tell em' that you have to possessed by Satan to get the true meaning of the song and that you don't give a fu*k what an as*hole thinks.Good luck.

Personally if I were you, I would just ignore them. It's your own taste, your preference in music makes you who you are and you don't need a person telling you that your music is stupid. Everyone has their own opinions on things and you'll have to respect that and it shouldn't offend you but if it does, I guarantee that if you just mind your own business and ignore them, everything will turn out fine.

Quit school. Buy a VW bus and go on tour.
Just kidding.

Seriously, though, if somebody wants to judge you, it's their loss. Just because the fray sucks doesn't mean you suck.

Don't acknowledge them at all. You don't have to defend your taste in music.

If they persist, kick em in the nuts. That'll shut em up.

You dont answer them, you just ignore them. You'll never change their minds anyhow, so dont bother about what they think. Its not important.
