Can people suggest some punk rock bands similar to the ramones please!

The Ramones took most of their own influences from obscure 1960s "garage" bands, and there are lots of cheap compilation CDs with that kind of stuff on it...
But you should check out anything by The Stooges ( Iggy Pop's old band), The MC5, or British bands like The Undertones and The Clash ( but only their early stuff). The Sex Pistols dont really sound too much like the Ramones, though.

The Ramones are great and nobody is quite like them!
Maybe give The Dickies, The Queers, The Sex Pistols and The Angry Samoans a listen? You might like these bands as well!!

there are none, that even come remotely close to the ramones, they were a one of a kind band.

i love the ramones TOO!!! ummm...new york dolls, the clash, sex pistols, johnny thunders and the heart breakers, and im pretty sure thats it....ummm..ill tell you if i remember more
