Im a noob at this and this is my first guitar.
I bought a electric guitar and wanna know how to tune it. right now it sounds like a regular acoustic guitar and i want it to sound like a rock or metal guitar.

Im using a regular speaker like the one you use for a computer or suround sound on your tv and it plays like a regular acoustic guitar would.

so do i need a real guitar amp to play like that or can i use a regular speaker and tune it

OK here it goes it is Rap (by a black guy) and here are some of the words I remember "....not swirving. Doing.... on....." yes I know it is alot of help but I cant hum it to you! The song isnt that old last year or so. If you can give me title, artist or any other lyrics I would appreciate it. (PS Doing....on... the dot dot dots are a speed and a highway in Atlanta I belive it was doing 100 on 85 but I am not sure! PLEASE HELP!

Am I the only one who thinks that music has gone a bit downhill lately?I mean like Britney Spears,J-lo, and Beyonce,to me they cannot sing very well compared to past divas.I mean i am glad for their success,but it seems that even rap music is a bit routine.It is either about bling or money now,but I can remember it having a deeper feel back in the days.I cannot sing but I loved hearing artists work their voice and even grew a love for opera because of it.But does any one feel that music has been in a bit of an artisic rut lately?How much could you be convinced to spend on a Britney Spears ,ect cd?
