How could I keep my violin in tune for a longer period of time?

My violin seems to get out of tune easily unlike my sister's. Everytime I tune it, it becomes out of tune a couple of hours later.

I know how to tune my violin but since I don't have a tuner or piano to accompany me while I tune, I have to do it by memory and it takes about an hour for me to actually get it right. (And I'm not a very patient person)

Is there a way I can keep it in tune longer?

How can i listen to music on my computer and make playlists and stuff without downloading the music?

I want to get a program like limewire except that i dont want to have to download the song for virus purposes. But the program has to let me make playlists or save the song.

How would I adjust the strings on my electric guitar to be closer and easier to press on the frets?

I am a new guitarist and I have been playing for approximately 1-2 months. I just went down to try out distortion pedals yesterday and tryed a guitar there that was so much easier to press than mine because the strings were closer to the frets. Is there an easy way to lower the strings or would i have better luck taking it to a professional?
