My violin seems to get out of tune easily unlike my sister's. Everytime I tune it, it becomes out of tune a couple of hours later.

I know how to tune my violin but since I don't have a tuner or piano to accompany me while I tune, I have to do it by memory and it takes about an hour for me to actually get it right. (And I'm not a very patient person)

Is there a way I can keep it in tune longer?

Get a humidifier for your violin case. It will work wonders for keeping your violin in tune for longer.

Temperature change can be an issue. My violin does the SAME thing. It is rather annoying. When I asked at a music store, I was told that is is very common. I have an electric tuner, which helps alot. One thing NOT to do i turn the pegs by the scrooll very much because I just recently broke my E from trying to tune it with the pegs rather than using my fine tuners. I am not exactly answering your question, but do you keep it in the same place as your sister? If it is by an air vent, the temperature may be changing.

Do you have fine tuners on your instrument? they're small tuners that go at the end of the instrument away from the scroll. I'd buy an electric tuner, the Korg tuner is pretty standard, around $20--very helpful. When you're tuning with the pegs, it sometimes helps to lower the pitch and then raise it again, pressing the peg in hard as you turn.

You may have a problem with either the make of violin or the make of strings. How old are they? When did you last have your instrument re-strung? these are the most two important factors. As far as patience goes, break down and buy a tuning device- cuts your time waaaay down.
