As a child growing up a military brat , my sister and I learned this song in this version, but can’t remember when and where we first learned it. We sung it everywhere no matter the season. I even elbowed my sis so I could sing the solo part, I know not very Christian to hit a sister , but we still have a mystery. Has anyone ever heard this version and if so where. I have checked the Internet and no luck. My kids know the original and the version I have sung for so long.
If you have never heard this version could you also tell me? If you never heard of it and like it let me know?
(Choirs)
Go tell it on the mountain
Over the hills and every where,
Go tell it on the mountain that Jesus Christ is born.
(Solo)
When I was a sinner,
It was he, who led the way,
He led my heart to follow,
He led my heart to say....
(Choirs)
Come on; let’s go tell it on the mountain
Over the hills and every where
Go tell it on the mountain that Jesus Christ is born,
Repeat allot.
