Can someone please tell me the name of the song that the DJ's play at every school dance? It it the one where everyone stands in a line and a man on speakers says stuff like, "...Slide to the left...Slide to the right...,ect." 1st one to get it right will get the best answer.

Today I was singing "American Pie" (quite badly) in 5th period and it was like all hell broke loose. Everyone went completly crazy on me, and told me I was singing the wrong lyrics. Even our teacher, who is too lazy to teach us anything useful, to my horror, started singing her own version of the song, (by which time I hurriedly ran to the bathroom). But anyways I thought it went:

"My Oh My Ms. American Pie.
Put the pedal to the medal
but the medal was dry
goin' down south to drink
whiskey with rye
ohhh this'll be the day
oh myyy
ohh this'll be the day
oh myyy"

& thats all. But everyone went COMPLETLY SPAZZTIC so yea if you could just tell me the real words to the song because I have been SO wrong indeed. Thanks =]

I can only remember bits and pieces of the song but I know that it was sung by a man. Also the word "remember" came up over and over. And I think that it went something like "I can't remember... but I still remember how you taste" and there was guitar in the song. Anyways even if you're not sure, please give me some suggestions to what this song might be.

I have a budget set at a maximum of ~$700
for a complete drum set (including cymbals),
but I would prefer to spend closer to $500 un-
less that $200 extra is going to make a worth-
while difference on the drum set investment.

The less I spend on the drums, the more I can
spend on the recording gear (which I want to
sepnd < $500). As you've probably figured out
by now, $1,200 for the drum set and recording
gear is my total budget. Thanks in advance for
any experienced help. Specific brand/model
recommendations are fine too.

I am a beginning drummer who wants the best
sound for the money and I will be practicing
many time per week, so duribility and reliability
ave very important as well.

It has to be the 70's, you still had all of the greatest bands playing or starting, then when rock seemed to be at an unsurpassable climax, The Ramones became the first punk rock band, The Damned released the first punk rock single and album, the Sex Pistols rocked the whole world with their music and antics, and the Clash made the best album ever (self titled) and two more of the greatest albums ever. Then the 80's happened and mainstream music turned into mindless pop, then eventually to even more mindless and less entertaing rap, with a few diamonds in the rough along the way.
