I purchased a mandolin online. It is the type that looks like a melon in the back. It was dated back in the 1900's. I can't believe the weight on this mandolin. I bet it is barely a half of a pound. Does this sound right for mandolins of this age?

It starts out kind of slow and then in the middle it sounds a lot like Rock You Like a Hurricane by the Scorpions. It is a really good song, it doesnt have any lyrics and it is played in between stoppages of play to pump up the crowd. I know this isn't a great description but I would appreciate any feedback.
