Ive never cared much for fender and epiphone is just the cheaper version of gibson. Ibanez has some good guitars like the custom one that Greg Tribbet has from Mudvayne, i think its an artist series. I like Schecter and Gibson. Gibson has the classic les pauls and I love the SG's. SG's are some of my favorite guitars. Schecter is newer but they have reasonably priced guitars that sound great and look great. Its like you got a guitar that should be worth double what it is. Plus they have they new ones that are like the ones that the guys from Avenged Sevenfold play, pretty good.

I've played an Ibanez Roadstar 2 bass for 15yrs. and it sounds just as good now as it did when I started, so I'm going to say Ibanez.
