Currently trying to record some songs with a band that I just joined. I've been singing my whole life. Nothing really serious though, until now. My dad was a singer in a band and my sister is incredible as well. But my friend who has a studio has been letting us record lately, and he is telling me that I'm singing wrong. He says im using my throat to sing and that I need to let more air out and use my chest/lungs. I'm trying to figure out how to do it, but I've been singing this way for my whole life so I don't know how. Any ideas or weblinks?

For example, I really love "classical" music, but my husband picks on me because I ride around listening to the Classics channel on XM.(I'm a classical pianist/piano teacher, my husband's just a sweet, down-to-earth country guy-opposites attract, I guess!) With so many genres of music today, how many of you just really love classical music- do you prefer it over any other music? I do, and I'm just wondering if I'm the minority here. Thanks!!

The chorus featured a lot of pornographic-type female moaning (which I think was the artist's clever way of covering radio-unfriendly words) and Ludacris came in with some talk of "getting head" and tonsils.
Does anyone know the artist and/or the song? I looked around online with zero success.

I'm 29 years old, I seen rap music start as an alternative to disco back in 1979 with the Sugar Hill Gang, and Afrika Bambaata, Kurtis Blow, Grandmaster Flash, Melle Melle, to the 1980's Whodini, The Fat Boys, Beastie Boys, Dana Dane, Doug E.Fresh, Salt N Pepa, EazyE and NWA, BDP, Public Enemy, etc. 1990's Naughty by Nature, Ice Cube, Snoop Dogg, Master P, Wu Tang Clan, Onyx, Tribe called Quest, Boot Camp Click, etc. 2000 50 cent, Eminem, Dem Franchise Boyz, and so many other groups. In the 80's it was who rhymed the best, 90's it was about real life topics and intelligence(conscious rap), 2000 it's right now all about what your doing to your car and what you have on your car and what the females are doing to you sexually. What's the next decade hold? Will it die and get played out or will hip hop artist find something else to rap about? Eventually they'll have to rap about something different! New decade of rap music.
