I wrote a verse and a melody but want to play and record it on a blank cassette from my musicsource (not connected to recorder) to the cassette tape in the player. The cassette supposedly has a built in mic. Whe I press record and then stop and rewind and play, nothing is on the tape. I have never tried doing this before and need some help. What step am I missing? Do I need additional equipment? This has nothing to do with a computer.

Would this be a good way to attract some attention for the violinists and perhaps make a few violin legends in the process? As a violinist, I know that we are often overlooked for rock music or such.

help i am just learning and the book i am learning from has really old songs in that i dont know. i can play stuff with just a e and d chords so far but want to practise those before i move on. so far i have got amazing grace and blowin in the wind. does anyone know any songs????
