Me First and the Gimme Gimmes releases punk covers on themed albums. To date, they have albums covering 7-s/80s, 60s classics, showtunes, R&B songs, and even an album recorded at a bar mitzvah.

Hey, I am about to try out for a hard-rock band and they've given me a cd of their music and it sounds awesome and I need to write some lyrics. Anyone have any tips on doing this, or getting into the right state of mind for it? (don't suggest drugs, I want to avoid those)

This is for people who know Chinese music, American music, or both. What are some good songs to listen to while driving? i need songs that have loud and clear bass, good highs and lows, and clear vocals. i need suggestions for any of the following type of music: heavy rock/metal, techno, rap/hip-hop, Mando-pop, Mando hip-hop, Canto-pop, Canto hip-hop, U.S. classic rock (from 70's and 80's), AND classical (like Mozart/Beethoven's symphony orchestras). I have been composing some rock music and have written lyrics for the songs, but I cannot sing to save my life. I do not have much money to hire "professional" vocal talent but would like to find someone who will be right for the songs.

What is a fair compensation to offer a semi-pro or talented amateur record a vocal track per song, considering that it would be a non-profit hobby project.
