Does anyone know of a good source to listen to decent music from the Middle East or Asia? I hear India produces much music but have never heard it anywhere. I basically want to listen to different and new styles and cultures of music to expand my songwriting abilities.

I wondered that too. A friend of mine had some recorded Middle Eastern club music that was surprisingly good and very unusual. It makes me wonder if that fact that Muslim countries don't often approve of that sort of music keeps it from being marketed? I never heard the instruments they used in club music. The vocals sounded great even though I had no clue what they were saying.
