Yes!!! Lime Wire on install loads several different Spy Ware applications onto your computer and they continully transfer information from your computer to a spyware server and back. You may not realize it's there, but it is.

If you read the Lime Wire agreement, it's all in there. It's not a free application. You basically get to use Limewire in exchange for personal information, such as your internet surfing habits, buying habits and search habits.

It is highly likely. Before downloading anything try to judge by the size of the file if it is what you want. I've heard of a lot of people having this problem with Limewire but it is a risk with any P2P or any site on the Internet.
I use Ares and so far in 3 years, no virus

make sure you have reputable antivirus installed AND up to date

It will not give you a virus but it will give you adware (spyware). This is a lot less dangerous, and can be delete by using ad-aware. LimeWire will still work after you delete the adware.

Yeah. if u download viruses by mistake. avoid files which are 1050 kb, those are trojans in disguise.

yes... i think so... somebody answered me and said that files under 1 mb are the ones who have a virus..
