I've been recording with this crappy microphone and I have a feeling that it's making my vocals sound worse than they really are. I'm not a terrible singer. I can sing in key. So, why is it not sounding right in my recordings?

I'm really into the band and i love the lyrics(very romantic)

I'm going to a show at the Greek Theatre in Berkeley (CA) to see Death Cab For Cutie this weekend. Websites list a "no camera" rule, but I'm not sure how strict this is. Should I risk bringing my camera, or not worry about it at all?
