I have to say Genius...I saw her on TOTPs when she fist appeared on the scene singing Wow..and 'Heath Cliff' I literally thought wow! who's she and what a brilliant and unusual voice..haunting and mystical..yet with power and passion.There wasn't anyone else around with that distinct vocal tone or delivery. I think David Gilmour from Pink Floyd discovered her when she was 18 and sent her demo's to EMI. Since then she developed into a very creative singer and composer with a string of quality albums..Lion Heart..Kick Inside...Hounds of Love. And just when we thought she'd disappeared..she brings out 'Ariel' which for me is 'spell bounding' and a beautiful listen...and after a 10year lay off!. When you listen to her in interviews, she has no ego, doesn't self promote,is refreshingly down to earth and seems more into bringing up her family than making money.

I am 28 so not that old really but I like alot of her work. very talented - unusual songs, great lyrics so will have to go with genius.

Mad as a fish... but genius and insanity are often found together. Like Adam Ant - fantastic music but a major manic-depressive.
