Well I don't know, but I know why I'm gonna take my album picture looking away from the camera.
Because you're looking to a place that isn't defined (such as your songs and music) it's like you have a vision. If you are staring in to the camera it's like you're just here. It's a artist thing. It's like the concept of going "above and beyond" where no one has gone instead of, hey i'm right here, hope this helps

I guess because sometimes it looks scary when they're looking directly into the camera. Also, when they're not looking in the camera, it gives the picture a more 'dramatic' effect. Hahaha.

It's creepy when they're looking at the Camera, like Amy Lee on the cover of Fallen...scared the shitt outta me. If you move your head it still looks at you!! AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!
