Do songs need guitar solos? I've been playing guitar for about two and a half years now and I love soloing. A lot of today's music has made solos a thing of the past. What is your opinion on the topic? What kind of solos do you like? Jazz? Shred?

Who out there really thinks that playing an instrument (like a flute, trumpet, etc.) is really an art? Like playing in classical symphonies or in jazz bands is really turly an art?

Does anyone know a song that goes like this:

That was a piece of it.

It's a rock song, sort of sounds like Blink 182 did it but I don't know the band name.

Please someone help! The song is stuck in my head and I can't get it out!!!

Every time it comes on the radio, I always miss when the dj says the name. It's annoying!

I often listen to rock singers...recently jared leto and my fav, scott weiland, and they scream often or on occassion. I want to know how they do that without damaging vocal chords, singing live night after night and cutting albums. I know if I sing a wrong note, I loose my voice or hurt or strain something. I wanna know the secret! :-)
