Depends what you're downloading... remember you're downloading pieces of the specific file from individual people around the globe, and those people may have broadband like you but they may be connecting throu dialup and/or they may be downloading 7 other files at the same time, and then if the file if very rare and there's only one dude somewhere in japan who has it than you have to just hope the download finishes before he closes his limewire. And another reason for it being slower is that over the past several years limewire lost a huge number of it's users due to everyone sueing p2p programs and people were scared to use it. you can always try torrent programs but again it will depend on what you're looking for and who has it so you can just see which prog works better/faster.

i had it for over a year. i have highspeed broadband as well. it was downloading pretty fast for me, although some songs took a few minutes. the problem was, since your downloading from God knows where, and you're "file sharing" you could pick up a virus, which happened to me. They couldn't even repair my computer, it just shut down completely and i had to get another computer, and apple computers are not cheap!!! I'd rather spend $4000 on 200 ($20) cd's, then to lose everything i saved on my computer and buy a new computer for another $4000, and still have no music.

It depend on what speed the person is uploading from the other end. You also have to alow for contention on the internet with millions of people using high speed broadband at the same time.
Koria is wired with fibre optic cables so the average household can get connection speeds of 80 to 100 meg per second.

That's because it comes packaged with all sorts of wonderful little ad ons like spyware and adware. It takes time to download all the extra fun things.

As with any p2p, it's garbage. You're opening yourself up for attack.

I had to reinstall it last week, and it didn't take very long, maybe 4-5 minutes max.

Try running a virus and spyware scan, and uninstall any programs that you don't use anymore. Defragmenting your hard drive wouldn't hurt either.

Go to tools, then options. Check into "Speed" to see that your connnection speed is set correctly. Then check "Downloads", and look at your "download bandwidth". set it to 100% if is isnt already there. Other than that, i have no idea except that you may have a bad modem.
